A couple of succulents in a broken pot in a corner.

The town of Oranjestad is walkable and fun to explore. A trolly runs through the shopping district. While visiting the Historical Museum of Aruba, we came across these succulents in a broken pot nestled in the corner. The museum is in Fort Zoutman, not too far from where the cruise ships dock.

Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao are three islands off the north shore of Venezuela. Even though they are part of the Netherlands, they are not part of the European Union. Unlike many of the other islands in the Caribbean, these are arid and dusty. They don’t have the lush vegetation and mountains that you see elsewhere. They also aren’t volcanic.
