The sun sets on the other side of the island, but the pinks and purples follow behind. The pastels trace out the distant Cascades in Washington. The Cadboro Gyro Park beach faces roughly southeast, so it looks out to an area just north of Seattle.
Many folk enjoy the beach. Couples sit together. Families walk along the water line. Some even take photos. But many simply watch the water and colors washing in from the horizon. The cove is protected from the usual rough water on the Pacific coast. So it makes for a nice change from the usual rocky coasts elsewhere. Although the sand isn’t too fine, it’s good enough for casual strolls. The driftwood makes for handy benches.
