The University Fountain at the University of Victoria.

Two benches stare each other down across the still pool of the University Fountain. The fountain is a water feature in front of the University of Victoria library. Even though the water looks pretty quiet, the ripples you see reflect the vigorous flow of the fountain off-camera. In spite of all of the movement, this is still a quiet, relaxing place to sit and watch the water.

The University of Victoria has a wide range of relaxing places. This fountain is one of the most obviously artificial. But there are also gardens of the English variety. Paths through forests. Green open spaces. There’s something for almost every mood.
